The Main Types Of Pallets

(1) Flat tray. Flat pallets are almost synonymous with pallets. As long as a pallet is lifted, it generally refers to flat pallets, because flat pallets have the widest range of use, the largest number of uses, and the best universality. Flat pallets can be further divided into three types.
① According to the table classification. There are four types: single-sided type, single-sided use type, double-sided use type, and wing type;
② Classify according to the forklift entry method. There are three types: one-way fork in type, two-way fork in type, and four-way fork in type.
③ According to material classification. There are five types of flat pallets: wooden flat pallets, steel flat pallets, plastic flat pallets, composite flat pallets, and paper flat pallets. According to the Pallet Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, a preliminary investigation was conducted in 2011 on several domestic pallet production enterprises, pallet usage and sales enterprises. Currently, the total number of various types of pallets in China is about 1600-2000 million pieces, with an annual production increase of about 20 million pieces. Among them, wooden pallets account for about 85%, plastic pallets account for 12%, steel pallets, composite material pallets, and paper pallets account for a total of 3%. The proportion of rising composite material flat trays and plastic trays is relatively high.
(2) Column tray. Column trays are divided into two types: fixed and detachable. The basic structure of the tray is that there are steel columns at the four corners of the tray, and the upper ends of the columns can be connected by crossbeams to form a frame type. The main function of column trays is to use columns to support heavy objects and stack them higher; The second is to prevent the collapse of goods placed on pallets during transportation and loading and unloading.
