The double leg pallet is a heavy-duty flat pallet built on two longitudinal steel legs (runners) instead of a full bottom deck. This open-bottom structure gives the pallet an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, keeps the fork pockets clear on two opposite sides, and makes it one of the most cost-effective solutions for warehouse storage, racking and freight transport. Every double leg pallet is automatically formed, welded and powder-coated as a single integrated unit - and each dimension, load rating and color can be customized to your exact application.
What Is a Double Leg Pallet?
A double leg pallet is a single-deck (flat) pallet whose entire load is carried by two parallel longitudinal legs running the full length of the pallet, hence the name "double leg". The top deck consists of 9 reinforced boards welded onto these two legs, and there is no bottom deck underneath. Because the legs sit at the two edges, forks can only enter from the two opposite ends - a 2-way entry design that maximizes deck strength while keeping the pallet light and affordable.
Compared with nine-foot or double-faced pallets, the double leg design removes unnecessary bottom structure, which reduces weight and cost, speeds up handling, and simplifies cleaning. It is the preferred flat pallet for heavy machinery parts, building materials, chemicals and high-density racking, where load capacity and durability matter more than four-way flexibility.

Q: Can forklifts and pallet trucks handle it from all four sides?
A: No - the double leg pallet is a 2-way entry pallet. Forklifts and hand pallet trucks enter from the two opposite ends where the fork pockets are located. If you need four-way access, we can quote a four-way or double-faced pallet instead.
